The Ricote Valley is in the south east of the Iberian Peninsula. It is a semiarid zone with less than 350mm of rain a year. The Ricote and La Navela hills, which reach heights of nearly 1000 meters, its north-south alignment, and the River Segura have endowed this Moorish valley with its own microclimate, which tempers the high summer temperatures, and drives away winter frosts. Perintin cottage therefore enjoys pleasant average temperatures, a high number of sunny days, and little rain.
